Role Overview

Assessment and Roadmap

• Conduct current-state analysis of tools, practices, and security posture using standards such as DORA metrics.
• Identify operational gaps, user pain points, and security vulnerabilities.
• Deliver current-state analysis and security maturity assessment reports.
• Create a phased DevSecOps implementation roadmap and action plan.

Framework and Governance

• Design and implement DevSecOps policies, standards, governance models, and interaction models.
• Develop an application security service catalog and integrate shift-left security into pipelines.
• Establish release governance policies and prepare compliance reports.

Transformation and Capability Building

• Lead cultural change toward collaboration, automation, and shared responsibility.
• Coach and mentor internal teams to support knowledge transfer and sustainable improvements.
• Develop and deliver role-specific training and awareness materials.

Technical Implementation

• Oversee secure Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and database procedures.
• Implement Vault for secrets management, access control, rotation, and data protection.
• Lead infrastructure automation using Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
• Define monitoring and reporting frameworks for security and operational metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting DevOps maturity assessments using DORA metrics.
• Experience defining target operating models for enterprise or government clients.
• Deep expertise in Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, and Pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Vault and hands-on experience with Terraform or Azure Resource Manager and Shell scripting.
• Ability to lead change, mentor teams, manage stakeholders, and produce strategic documentation.
