DevOps AWS Software Engineer III

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage, scale, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure for containerized EKS and ECS workloads.
• Provision and maintain infrastructure with Terraform and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and AI-enabled releases.
• Implement health checks, readiness, scaling, resiliency, deployment automation, rollback support, and environment promotion.
• Use authorized AI coding assistants while validating generated outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
• Administer Akamai CDN and Client Side Protection configurations and support certificate lifecycle activities.
• Build Splunk dashboards and alerts, participate in incident response and root cause analysis, and maintain runbooks.
• Support change management through reviews, risk awareness, pre- and post-change checks, and safe maintenance execution.

Required Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification and at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Hands-on AWS and container platform experience with EKS and/or ECS.
• Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking, and application or runtime behavior.
• Working knowledge of incident and change management practices.
• Scripting or automation experience with Bash, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
• Experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
• Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Splunk, including search, dashboards, alert tuning, and log onboarding.
• Hands-on Akamai experience with CDN configuration, caching, edge troubleshooting, and Client Side Protection.
• Familiarity with operating AI-enabled services or pipelines and model or service rollout monitoring.
• AWS certification at Cloud Practitioner level or higher.

Compensation

• The salary range is $137,750 to $185,000 yearly.
• Eligible roles may receive commission-based pay or discretionary incentive compensation in cash or forfeitable equity.
