Position Summary
The Detailing Engineer prepares detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection plans for cold-formed steel structures.
The role requires structural design knowledge and the ability to translate design concepts into practical, construction-ready drawings.
Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Background and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of cold-formed steel structural components and detailing techniques.
- Experience preparing detailed drawings for CFS and steel structures.
- Ability to interpret design documents and transform them into accurate fabrication drawings.
- Strong knowledge of steel detailing standards and drawing conventions.
- Familiarity with software tools used for CFS detailing and drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools for creating 2D and 3D models.
- Ability to work with engineers and fabricators to ensure designs are feasible for construction and fabrication.
- Ability to prepare structural and fabrication packages.
- Experience delivering U.S.-based projects is a plus.
