About the Role

- Lead structural and mechanical design from concept through fabrication
- Review and approve GA drawings, fabrication drawings, structural calculations, and BOMs
- Manage detailing activities using Tekla Structures and StruCad (Strumis)
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and QA/QC to ensure designs are fabrication ready
- Manage design engineers, draftsmen, and detailers, allocating work across projects
- Resolve design and fabrication issues to ensure smooth project execution
- Drive design standardization, process improvements, and engineering best practices
- Prepare technical reports and provide regular project updates to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Aeronautical Engineering
- 8–10 years of experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication design
- 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Hands on experience with Tekla Structures and StruCad (Strumis) is mandatory

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication design, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Hands on experience with Tekla Structures and StruCad (Strumis) is mandatory.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy engineering, industrial equipment, or airport equipment manufacturing preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks is an advantage.
