About the Role

The Design Manager leads day-to-day management and coordination of landscape and public-realm design from early concept through detailed and IFC delivery.

The role combines design excellence, commercial control, team leadership, quality management, technical coordination, and interdisciplinary integration.

Design Management and Leadership

  • Manage projects within approved time, fee, and quality parameters while monitoring scope, resources, deliverables, risks, and change control.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary Landscape, Irrigation, BIM, Visualisation, CAD, and Environmental specialists.
  • Implement QA/QC and peer-review procedures and coordinate civil, MEP, infrastructure, and other discipline requirements.
  • Represent the landscape discipline in client and consultant meetings and maintain formal project documentation.

Technical Delivery

  • Oversee landscape drawings, reports, hardscape and softscape packages, irrigation and grading plans, planting strategies, sustainability narratives, and material schedules.
  • Lead BIM integration using Revit LA, Civil 3D, and Navisworks and coordinate models, deliverables, and LOD compliance.
  • Support specifications, BOQs, cost schedules, value engineering, tender evaluation, constructability, and site support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognised university is required.
  • Professional accreditation or eligibility such as CMLI, ASLA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of total experience is required.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required; Arabic is applicable where relevant.
