Shades Interiors is seeking a highly experienced and design-driven (
Design Manager) Dm - 102
to lead architecture and interior design projects from concept development through execution and final handover.
The ideal candidate will oversee the full design lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination between design, technical, procurement, and site execution teams while maintaining the highest standards of creativity, technical quality, functionality, and buildability.
The role requires strong leadership across both design office operations and project execution stages within a Design & Build environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architecture and interior design projects from concept design through construction and final handover.
- Ensure all design deliverables meet project objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage project planning, design development, technical coordination, and execution follow-up.
- Oversee design progress across concept, schematic, detailed design, IFC drawings, and site coordination stages.
- Ensure alignment between design intent and actual site implementation.
- Coordinate between architecture, interior design, technical, MEP, structural, procurement, and site teams.
- Review and approve design packages, technical drawings, shop drawings, and material submissions.
- Ensure all designs are practical, buildable, and compliant with project requirements and construction methodologies.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and design workshops.
- Conduct site visits and support execution teams to resolve design and technical issues.
- Support value engineering and material selection processes while maintaining design quality.
- Lead, mentor, and manage architecture and interior design teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Architecture / Interior Design projects within the UAE.
- Strong experience in Fit-Out and Design & Build projects.
- Proven experience managing projects from concept to handover.
- Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, interior fit-out, materials, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of UAE authority regulations and submission processes.
- Strong experience in client management and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage project deadlines effectively.
Additional Information
- **Gender:**
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp / Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination is an advantage.
