Your role
- Develop E&I philosophies based on process requirements.
- Create P&IDs, service diagrams, and SLDs using AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN.
- Prepare design specifications; size/select instruments, switchgear, cables, and panels per IEC, UL, CSA, ATEX, and CE standards.
- Develop panel layouts, wire harnesses, hook-up drawings, and BOMs.
- Prepare JB, cable, earthing, tray, and equipment layout drawings.
- Generate IO Lists, Alarm/Trip Lists, Control Narratives, Logic, C&E, and Loop Diagrams.
- Work with PLCs, VFDs, soft starters, and LV/MV/HV motors.
- Convert customer requirements into design solutions.
- Apply ATEX/IECEx hazardous area classification and equipment selection.
- Perform PLC, panel, wiring, and logic design, testing, and validation.
- Support troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, plant teams, and management.
- Participate in Kick-off, HAZOP, SIL, Design Review, FAT, and SAT meetings.
- Manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and compliance.
To succeed, you will need
Educational Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
4-10 years of experience in the compressor, oil & gas, or rotating equipment industry.
Personality Requirements:
Self-disciplined, professional, and well-mannered.
Committed to office timings, work ethics, and customer satisfaction.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
Excellent organizational skills with a dynamic and flexible approach.
Essential Functions/Skills/Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Capable of working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and managing multiple projects.
Experience in Gas & Process Industries with a sound understanding of processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/EPLAN and experience with ERP systems (SAP/BPCS) and document management systems (Enovia).
Effective stakeholder management skills, including coordination with internal and external parties.
