Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a design engineer to join our engineering team.

Reporting to a Design Team Leader, you will be responsible for producing temporary works designs for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework.

The role would suit an engineer with a few years post graduate experience with demonstratable technical experience in structures or geotechnical design and a sound understanding of temporary works.

You will:

• Experience of designing temporary works for groundworks and/or building refurbishment propping (e.g geotechnical design of sheet pile cofferdams and/or propping and needling)
• Prepare temporary works designs for groundworks and eventually other product schemes.
• Checking designs and drawing in accordance with BS5975:2019
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad and provide feedback if more information is required.
• Managing your own workload § Contribute to continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering Director.

You will have:

• A HND or degree in civil/structural engineering
• At least 3 years experience designing temporary works
