Design Engineer 2 - Specialist- Virtual, US

Work is primarily performed in office or remote environments, with occasional exposure to construction sites.

Employees are responsible for following all safety requirements and PPE standards when onsite.

The role may involve extended periods on feet when onsite, along with use of standard office and technical equipment.

Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

Travel:

Occasional travel by car and air is required .

A valid driver’s license in state of residence is required , and mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

• High school diploma or GED required .
• Associates degree required and/or equivalent experience .
• Certifications or training with Milestone and Lenel preferred .
• Certifications or training with Genetec, Avigilon and S2 preferred .

• 5+ years of experience in technical systems design .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office 365.
• Ability to obtain a government-issued Top Secret Clearance (US-based only) .
• Clear understanding of project phases including program, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, and commissioning .
• Strong understanding of construction processes, installation practices, and system integration .
• Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field .
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong time management skills .
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, including technical troubleshooting and issue analysis .
