Position Overview
Develop accounting solutions for new derivative products within the Derivatives Operations team.
Provide post-implementation training and oversight for new procedures.
Improve operational processes through automation and support complex client inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients and prospective clients to meet accounting needs for new and existing products.
- Liaise with clients, investment managers, and internal staff to resolve reporting issues.
- Coordinate pricing and reconciliations of derivative holdings before accounting statement deadlines.
- Assist team members with complex derivatives processing and accounting issues.
- Guide junior staff in resolving client, advisor, and internal department issues.
- Maintain knowledge of new derivative and alternative investment products.
- Review Derivative Operations policies annually and process daily derivatives transactions.
- Perform risk control analysis and support risk mitigation initiatives.
- Identify processing, cost reduction, and revenue generation opportunities.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of derivative instruments, valuation, reconciliations, and trading strategies.
