Deputy Project Manager (MA, Springfield)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The Deputy Project Manager will work at the direction of and in conjunction with the Project Manager in the execution of a major Rail Vehicle contract.
• The Deputy Project Manager will be responsible for planning and scheduling incoming and ongoing project tasks in correlation to business necessity and customer requirements.
• He or she also monitors, reviews, and communicates progress to ensure schedules are being met, guidelines are adhered to and that performance is of adequate quality.
• Develops, grow, and nurtures key client relationships and is a primary company contact on the project.
• Supports the Project Manager for all aspects of the project including negotiating extras, cost control, staffing, quality control and cash management.
• Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on large or multiple projects.
• Actively manages budget, schedule and program; budget and schedule; project communications, documentation, and administers relevant aspects of a formal quality control program.
• Satisfies client requirements.
• Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed.
• Identifies and markets additional business opportunities with key clients.
• Strong relationships within the industry, and a network of owners and consultants.
• Experience with Large Capital Programs, and project experience.
