Overview
- The Liberal Arts and Sciences Department at VCUarts Qatar invites applications for adjunct faculty positions on a rolling basis.
- We seek dynamic, student centered educators to teach undergraduate courses in support of general education curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in assigned discipline(s) in accordance with university standards.
- Prepare course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback.
- Foster an engaging, welcoming, and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Adhere to departmental and university policies and procedures.
- Participate in meetings or training sessions as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant discipline or closely related field.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at university level or relevant professional experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to do so.
- Eligibility to work in Qatar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree (PhD, MFA, or equivalent) in relevant field.
- Experience teaching in interdisciplinary or general education programs.
- Experience teaching in international or multicultural higher education environments.
- Evidence of innovative or student centered teaching practices.
