Role Overview
Provide chairside assistance and documentation to support the dentist and patient experience.
Follow facility policies and Department of Health regulations to support patient safety.
Patient Care
- Provide patient care and help patients feel comfortable regarding procedures.
- Collect and record medical and dental histories.
- Prepare patients for treatment.
- Keep the patient's mouth free of excess saliva, blood, tooth fragments, and other dental materials.
- Assist the dentist with procedures when necessary.
Dental Procedures
- Prepare work areas and complete assigned laboratory tasks.
- Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
- Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up trays, prepare materials, and assist with procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs.
- Care for dental equipment and complete the water laser logbook when required.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
- A valid DOH/HAAD Dental Assistant license is required.
- Experience in a multicultural environment and awareness of Emirati culture are required.
- The role requires clear communication, interpersonal ability, and comfort working under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Hospital or dental center experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Dental EMR is a plus.
Employment and Workplace
- The position is full-time.
- Work location is in person.
