Dental Assistant

Role Overview

Clinical Support

• Prepare patients for dental work.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up trays, and prepare materials.
• Assist with dental procedures and emergencies when necessary.
• Assist dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
• Form preliminary impressions and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.

Patient Care and Records

• Provide great patient care.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Provide dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control information.
• Collect and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.

Imaging, Equipment, and Supplies

• Expose dental X-rays and care for dental X-ray equipment.
• Care for dental equipment.
• Order dental supplies and maintain dental equipment inventory.

Requirements

• Certification or an associate degree from an accredited dental assisting program.
• Dental X-ray certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a dental hygiene program.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Ability to provide great patient care.
• Candidates may apply with or without a DOH license.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,500 to AED 3,000 per month.

Work Location

• The work location is in person.
