Position Overview

Food Preparation and Kitchen Duties

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw frozen food in the refrigerator and maintain food logs.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Ensure proper portions, arrangement, garnish, presentation, and food quality.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef about excess food items.
• Inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock menu items.

Team and Guest Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Follow company and safety policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company assets.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs using clear and professional communication.
• Maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is required.

Workplace and Physical Requirements

• The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking.
• The role requires reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
