- Prepare, cook, and present food items in accordance with standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the daily operations of the assigned kitchen section.
- Ensure food is prepared and served to the highest quality standards and within established timelines.
- Supervise, guide, and support Commis Chefs and kitchen attendants to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standards.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency throughout preparation and service.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and communicate purchasing requirements to the Chef de Partie.
- Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation (FIFO), and labeling in accordance with food safety standards.
- Minimize food waste through effective planning, portion control, and proper handling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries according to company procedures.
- Support inventory counts and stock control activities as required.

- Previous experience as a commis chef within a hotel or restaurant setting
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
