Position Summary
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Prepare special meals, substitute items, cold foods, and properly portioned and garnished dishes.
Support kitchen service by monitoring food quality and quantity and communicating with chefs and Food and Beverage staff.
Kitchen Duties
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Pull frozen food from storage and thaw it in the refrigerator.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials and inform service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
Team and Guest Service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
