Role Overview
- Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled Delivery Project Director (DEL 1) to oversee the delivery of critical projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational excellence.
- The Project Director sets the project direction, ensures timely and cost effective delivery, oversees all disciplines, ensures compliance and safety, provides status reports, implements improvements, manages interfaces, and leads various project related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads, inspires and drives the health, safety, and wellbeing culture on the project.
- Ability to conduct safety investigations, inspections and audits.
- Role models leadership behaviors, in line with Qiddiya Values, at all times.
- Motivates and inspires a high performance culture through clear direction, providing continuous feedback, recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance and fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation and accountability.
- Provide visible inclusive leadership, effective succession planning, exploring recruitment and retention strategies and providing mentoring/sponsorship to staff.
- Leads collaboration and interface across design, procurement, construction, test, and commission activities to deliver completed assets in accordance with approved designs, cost plan budgets and agreed milestone dates.
- Works closely with other directors and senior management team to maximize project efficiencies across all facets of the projects including project integration, interfaces and interdependencies with wider program to enable seamless construction phasing.
- Prepares and presents to QIC Control committees and groups where appropriate.
- Leads project review processes to enable effective progress reporting and ensure in depth knowledge of all project elements.
- Works effectively with commercial, contracts and cost teams, to facilitate successful project delivery whilst managing project budgets and financials.
- Knowledgeable of all contract formats and their respective benefits and liabilities with strong knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
- Identifies, manages, and mitigates the delivery risk exposure to the project by ensuring adequate controls are identified and applied.
