The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to customers or business locations.
This role requires excellent driving skills, time management, and a strong focus on customer service to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver packages, goods, or food items to customers in a timely manner
- Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules
- Load, unload, and handle items with care
- Verify delivery details such as address, contact information, and order accuracy
- Collect payments or obtain delivery confirmations when required
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers
- Perform basic vehicle checks and ensure cleanliness and maintenance
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety guidelines
- Report delays, accidents, or issues to management promptly
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid driving license (appropriate for vehicle type)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver is preferred
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes
- Ability to use GPS devices or mobile apps for navigation
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic communication skills
- Physically fit to lift and carry packages when needed
