Role Overview
AWS Professional Services is seeking a Delivery Consultant focused on application modernization.
The role helps customers design, develop, implement, and re-engineer applications for AWS Cloud adoption, including GenAI-accelerated modernization.
The consultant leads architecture for complex, scalable, and secure customer solutions and supports delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Gather requirements, assess current applications, and propose migration strategies.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and risk management during delivery.
- Modernize legacy applications using strangler fig and anti-corruption layer patterns.
- Decompose monoliths into microservices and serverless architectures using Lambda, ECS/EKS, Fargate, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
- Modernize .NET Framework, Java EE, mainframe, and COBOL technology stacks.
- Modernize databases using RDS, Aurora, DMS, and schema conversion tooling.
- Mentor colleagues, provide training, and create reusable technical artifacts.
