As a Project Management Consultant , you will apply project management practices to coordinate and deliver successful project outcomes for clients.
Working across the capability lifecycle, you will manage small to medium-sized projects, lead project activities, oversee delivery performance, and ensure projects achieve scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to solve complex client challenges, work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, and contribute to projects that help keep nations and people safe and secure.
With exposure to varied clients, projects and environments, you'll enjoy diverse and meaningful work while building strong client relationships and delivering lasting value.
What you will be involved with
• Managing small to medium-sized projects across the capability lifecycle.
• Partnering with clients and stakeholders to deliver value and successful project outcomes.
• Developing and maintaining key project artefacts including project plans, schedules, risk registers and change registers.
• Monitoring project performance across scope, budget, schedule, risks and deliverables.
• Leading project resources and coordinating subcontractor engagement and performance.
• Managing project commercial activities including budgets, invoicing, change requests and contract obligations.
• Identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with project management frameworks and standards.
What we would like from you
• Qualifications in Project Management, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline, and/or relevant demonstrated experience.
• Strong project management capability, including managing multiple minor projects simultaneously.
• Previous experience working on Defence acquisition or sustainment projects across the capability lifecycle.
• Proven communication, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Strong customer service, client management and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Experience using project management software such as Oracle PPM or equivalent.
• Australian Citizenship and with either suspended or active AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
