We are seeking an experienced and highly connected GFx Manager, based in Canberra, to support the delivery of critical Defence capability programs within the AESA Systems Program Office (SPO).
Acting as the central coordination point for Requests for Information (RFIs) across the DWRP and CAPUS programs, you will work across Defence, industry, and program stakeholders to ensure information requests are accurately sourced, managed, and delivered within required timeframes. You will play a key role in enabling effective program delivery through stakeholder engagement, governance coordination, issue resolution, and information management.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of capability delivery, security, engineering, governance, and Defence-industry collaboration, supporting strategically significant Defence programs while building relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Involved With:
Coordinating and managing RFIs from receipt through to closure across DWRP and CAPUS programs.
Identifying and engaging appropriate information owners and subject matter experts across Defence and industry.
Tracking, monitoring, and driving actions to ensure timely and accurate responses.
Facilitating stakeholder engagement across AESA SPO, Defence Services, VCDF Group, project offices, and industry partners.
Coordinating technical, operational, engineering, and Test & Evaluation inputs to support information requests.
Facilitating resolution of security, export control, intellectual property (IP), ITAR, and technical data release considerations.
Maintaining visibility of RFI status, risks, dependencies, and action progress.
Supporting governance activities and decision-making through effective information management.
Escalating issues and coordinating solutions where information barriers or delays exist.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships across Defence and industry stakeholder networks.
Supporting improved accountability, transparency, and responsiveness across program activities.
Developing a deep understanding of the AESA SPO operating environment, stakeholder landscape, and program priorities.
What We Would Like From You:
Essential Requirements
Australian Citizenship with either Active or Suspended NV2 AGSVA Security Clearance (minimum), or Positive Vetting (PV) Security Clearance.
Extensive experience within Defence or the Defence industry.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across Defence and industry environments.
Strong understanding of Defence organisational structures, governance processes, and stakeholder networks.
Experience coordinating RFIs, actions, correspondence, governance activities, or information requests through to completion.
Proven ability to work across multiple organisations, projects, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
Understanding of Defence security requirements, information release processes, and governance considerations.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify issues, remove roadblocks, and proactively drive outcomes.
Experience operating within complex and highly regulated environments.
Desirable Requirements
Experience within Systems Program Offices (SPO), CASG, Defence acquisition, sustainment, or capability delivery environments.
Knowledge of Export Control regulations and ITAR requirements.
Engineering, Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, or technical management experience.
Defence Studies, Project Management, or related qualifications.
Operational military background with demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience.
Experience within Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), governance functions, action management, or staff officer roles.
Experience supporting Defence capability acquisition and sustainment programs.
Existing Defence and Defence industry stakeholder networks.
Experience managing information requests involving security, export control, technical data release, or intellectual property considerations.
Familiarity with AESA, radar, surveillance, sensor, or Defence capability programs.
