Position Overview
DriveTime is seeking a Database Engineering Intern for its Summer 2027 internship program.
The role uses Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud services to construct data solutions, maintain data integrity, and transform data between source and target structures.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective database solutions.
- Identify root causes and impacts of support issues and outages.
- Recommend improvements to new and existing systems.
- Collaborate on simplified approaches to business complexities.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with graduation expected between December 2027 and May 2028.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher is required.
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation is required.
- Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and stored procedures for data integration is required.
- Snowflake experience is a plus.

Internship Schedule
- The internship lasts 11 weeks from May through August 2027.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week.
Workplace
- The internship is based at the DriveTime Home Office in Tempe, Arizona.
- The schedule is regularly onsite.
