Role Overview
Intel's Foundry Automation team is hiring a Software Application Development Engineer.
The role partners with Fab Manufacturing and Engineering users to deliver software solutions for highly automated factories.
The work combines software engineering, advanced manufacturing, business process analysis, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify data and business needs and translate them into software solutions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Implement and test application and database software releases.
- Manage stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, and recommendations.
- Prioritize configuration changes in manufacturing execution systems.
- Provide Tier 3 support through a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Co-develop software tools and streamlined business processes.
- Adapt work priorities to changing factory needs.
