Role Description
Part-time remote Database Administrator role focused on managing, monitoring, and optimizing organizational database systems.
The role supports reporting needs and ensures database solutions align with organizational objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform backups, restores, performance tuning, user access management, and other routine database maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve database performance, error, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain data integrity and security and implement changes according to database best practices.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support reporting needs.
- Work independently, manage priorities, and communicate progress clearly and promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong database administration and management skills with experience maintaining secure and reliable database environments.
- Proficiency in database design and implementation, including tables, indexes, and relationships.
- Experience with replication techniques supporting availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with relational database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL and SQL.
- A relevant technical degree or certification is preferred.
