Role Description
Part-time remote Associate Software Engineer role supporting web-based systems for accounting and auditing regulation activities.
The role collaborates with senior engineers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Implement back-end features, fix bugs, participate in code reviews, and write unit and integration tests.
- Document code and APIs and help improve existing architectures and workflows.
- Participate in virtual meetings, monitor system performance, and support deployment and maintenance processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on back-end web development and software development experience involving databases or external services.
- Proficiency in programming and object-oriented programming with clean, maintainable coding practices.
- Familiarity with modern development tools, Git, and collaborative development practices.
- Understanding of web architectures, RESTful APIs, and web application security best practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
- A related bachelor’s degree or current enrollment is preferred.
- Experience or interest in accounting, auditing, or regulatory systems is advantageous.
