Job Title

A great SQL Server Database Administrator at Fiserv will be part of a team that builds and maintains large-scale and very high transaction SQL Server databases on Windows Server platforms.

The SQL Server DBA will focus on setting up SQL clusters in an azure environment. The DBA is responsible for tasks such as development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. to as well as other SQL Server Databases.

• Provision and configure SQL Server instances for both new and existing products.

• Analyze BAU work and automate L1/L2 tasks • Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases. • Plan, implement, and maintain replication strategies. • In depth analysis of performance, identification of areas of improvement, and implementation planning. • Prepare documentation, procedures, and specifications. • Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. • Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary. • Installation, configuration, and support of SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services.
