Role Overview
Metropolis is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist for its growing data team.
The role focuses on extracting insights, building predictive models, and supporting data-driven decisions across departments.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
- Build and deploy machine learning models for business problems.
- Design A/B tests and statistical analyses.
- Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams on analytics requirements.
- Communicate insights and develop dashboards and visualizations for key metrics.
- Keep current with data science and AI trends and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Four or more years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
- Strong Python and SQL knowledge, machine learning framework experience, and big data tool experience.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience using AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud platform experience, preferably AWS with services such as S3, SageMaker, or Airflow, is a plus.
- Experience with Snowflake, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
Workplace Model
- Metropolis uses an office-first model requiring corporate team members to be on-site at least three days per week.
