- Lead development and execution of data protection and governance strategy aligned with organizational objectives and Dubai strategic plans.
- Establish policies, frameworks, and governance models for data protection, regulatory compliance, and digital trust.
- Oversee enterprise wide data protection, privacy, and governance programs ensuring adherence to laws and best practices.
- Drive adoption of innovative technologies and security controls to enhance data protection and risk management.
- Lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of data protection risks and monitor compliance across government entities.
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on data governance and regulatory requirements; foster strategic partnerships.
- Establish and monitor strategic and operational performance indicators; drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the Authority in executive committees and international engagements.
- Build and lead high performing teams; drive employee development and a culture of innovation.
- Prepare executive reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline with 12+ years experience including 6+ years in leadership
- Master's degree in related discipline with 10+ years experience including 5+ years in leadership
- PhD in related discipline with 8+ years experience including 4+ years in leadership

Job Objective
- Lead, plan, and oversee all programs, initiatives, and technical activities related to data protection and governance at institutional and authority levels.
- Drive implementation of advanced data protection frameworks and digital security solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal legislation, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards.
- Enhance customer experience by ensuring data reliability, security, and availability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline with minimum 12 years experience including 6 years in leadership.
- Master's Degree in related discipline with minimum 10 years experience including 5 years in leadership.
- PhD in related discipline with minimum 8 years experience including 4 years in leadership.
