Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of Data Analysts and Architects focused on delivering Microsoft platforms and data products
- Oversee Kardium's master data management framework and enterprise data dictionary
- Oversee the delivery of data analytics reports and dashboards, partnering with business stakeholders
- Provide architectural oversight for Microsoft Dynamics 365 customizations and enhancements
- Govern the implementation and ongoing maturity of Microsoft Fabric
- Oversee Azure DevOps pipelines and platform engineering standards supporting software delivery lifecycle
- Act as primary point of contact for data definitions, governance decisions, ERP architecture questions, and platform engineering standards
- Contribute to departmental technical strategy and monitor trends across data governance, analytics, and Microsoft platform capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience across data management, analytics, enterprise applications, or platform/DevOps engineering
- 5+ years in a formal leadership or team management capacity
- Experience operating in a mid to large enterprise environment with multiple concurrent technical initiatives
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders at varying levels of technical detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong background in data governance, master data management, or data quality disciplines
- Hands on experience with integration patterns, data analytics, and BI tooling such as Power BI
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent modern data platform tooling
- Familiarity with Azure infrastructure, including Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design, environment management and release practices
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including familiarity with its data model and experience overseeing or delivering customizations

- As the Data Products and Platform Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for Kardium's data governance, analytics delivery, ERP architecture and cloud platform engineering capabilities.
- This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Your responsibilities will include
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of Data Analysts and Architects focused on delivering Microsoft platforms and data products to the organization, including D365, Azure and Fabric.
- Oversee Kardium's master data management framework and enterprise data dictionary, ensuring core data entities are well defined, governed, and consistently applied across systems.
- Oversee the delivery of data analytics reports and dashboards, partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize the analytics backlog, and ensure outputs are accurate and actionable.
- Provide architectural oversight for Microsoft Dynamics 365 customizations and enhancements, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Microsoft best practices.
- Govern the implementation and ongoing maturity of Microsoft Fabric, establishing best practices in data modelling, semantic layer design and self service reporting enablement.
- Oversee Azure DevOps pipelines and platform engineering standards that support the department's broader software delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD, environment management, and release automation.
- Act as the primary point of contact across the department for data definitions, governance decisions, ERP architecture questions, and platform engineering standards.
- Contribute to departmental technical strategy, monitoring trends across data governance, analytics, Microsoft Business Applications, and Microsoft platform capabilities to inform roadmap decisions.
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience across data management, analytics, enterprise applications, or platform/DevOps engineering, with 5+ years in a formal leadership or team management capacity.
- Experience operating in a mid to large enterprise environment with multiple concurrent technical initiatives and cross functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders at varying levels of technical detail, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing governance documentation, technical designs, and stakeholder facing reporting.
- Strong background in data governance, master data management, or data quality disciplines, with the ability to define and enforce data standards.
- Hands on experience with common integration patterns, data analytics, and BI tooling such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent modern data platform tooling, spanning both infrastructure and analytics consumption layers.
- Familiarity with Azure infrastructure, including Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design, environment management and release practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including familiarity with its data model and experience overseeing or delivering customizations.
Compensation
- CAD 146,000 CAD 189,700 CAD Annually
- Total cash compensation range includes base salary + 5% Retirement Savings Plan contribution.
- As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.
