Data Engineering Manager (DBA)

Lead OCI landing zone design (networking, IAM, security architecture)

Optimize cost, performance, and scalability in OCI environments

Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/OCI Resource Manager

Lead advanced performance tuning and capacity planning

Analyze AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for deep insights

Design systems for high throughput, low latency, and scalability

Implement partitioning, sharding, indexing, and workload management

Architect and manage:

GoldenGate replication

Design zero/near-zero downtime architectures

Conduct DR drills, failover/failback testing

Drive automation-first DBA practices

Build frameworks using:

Strong scripting experience (Python, Shell)

Expertise in:

CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)

Git-based workflows

Integrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines

Introduce self-healing and auto-scaling mechanisms

Lead large-scale database migrations using:

Modernize legacy databases to:

Cloud-native architectures

Define and enforce enterprise-grade security architecture

Data masking, auditing, and access control

Ensure compliance with standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS where applicable)

Other essential responsibilities:

Act as technical authority and escalation point for complex issues

Mentor junior DBAs and lead cross-functional teams

Collaborate with enterprise architects, DevOps, and application teams

Influence roadmaps and strategic decisions at leadership level

Enterprise-level OCI database architecture blueprint

Migration roadmap and execution plan

Automated DBA frameworks (IaC + CI/CD)

HA/DR design with tested failover scenarios

Performance benchmarking and optimization reports

This role is based out of Bengaluru.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

• Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
• Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
• Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
• Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
