Role Overview
Forbes Advisor is hiring a Data Engineer at the L2 level with Python and data ingestion pipeline experience.
The role supports marketing analytics, campaign reporting, and lead analysis using data from advertising platforms.
The role does not involve campaign execution, buying, or bidding.
Data Engineering and Pipelines
- Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from APIs and other sources.
- Write Python and SQL for transformation and processing.
- Support ETL or ELT workflows and microservices.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and assist with performance improvements.
Marketing Data Support
- Ingest and model data from Meta Ads and similar platforms.
- Create datasets for campaign performance reporting and lead funnel tracking.
- Develop familiarity with campaign structure, performance metrics, and conversion tracking concepts.
Business Collaboration
- Work with marketing and analytics teams to understand data requirements.
- Support analysis of lead quality and campaign performance.
- Translate business needs into data queries and datasets.
Data Quality and Maintenance
- Implement basic data validation checks.
- Monitor pipelines and resolve data issues.
- Maintain documentation for pipelines and datasets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, strong SQL skills, and experience ingesting data from APIs.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools and exposure to cloud data warehouses.
- Basic understanding of Meta Ads, marketing metrics, lead generation, and funnel fundamentals.
- Good problem-solving, debugging, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to Google Ads or other marketing platforms.
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
- Understanding of event tracking such as GA4.
