Role Overview
Contract Data Engineer role focused on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
The work supports data-driven decision-making and requires reliable, high-quality, accessible data for analytical and operational needs.
Location and Schedule
- Remote work with flexible hours.
Compensation
- Payout is $30-$100 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Implement and maintain ETL and ELT processes for data warehousing and analytics.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across data assets and systems.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Python, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Proficiency with Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar data pipeline frameworks.
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure and their data services.
- Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing concepts, and schema design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
