Role Overview
Contract Data Engineer role focused on scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data reliability, quality, accessibility, analytical needs, and operational needs.
Location and Work Arrangement
- Remote work from anywhere.
- Flexible hours are available.
Compensation
- Payout is $30-$100 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
- Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all data assets and systems.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Python, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Proficiency in data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure and their data services.
- Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing concepts, and schema design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
