Role Overview
The Data Engineer II builds and maintains data infrastructure for healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, and TPA data.
The role turns raw source data into reliable information for analysts, business teams, clients, and members.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for healthcare and TPA data.
- Develop, schedule, and monitor workflows using Airflow, CloudWatch, ECS, and DAGs.
- Build data workflows and applications with Python, SQL, and Django.
- Support EDI transfers, claims adjudication, audits, and reporting workflows.
- Extract, cleanse, load, investigate, and document new data sets.
- Translate business requirements into data pipeline solutions with cross-functional partners.
- Implement data quality and automated validation under HIPAA and CMS requirements.
- Troubleshoot pipeline incidents and resolve data flow issues.
- Contribute to data modeling decisions and mentor junior engineers.
