Design and deliver data engineering capabilities supporting Swiss Re’s data transformation strategy.
Build and scale analytics solutions in a modern Big Data cloud infrastructure and help democratize data across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to understand requirements and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines and transformation logic with Python, PySpark, SQL, and modern analytics platforms.
- Create analytics models and visualizations that turn complex data into actionable business insights.
- Use Palantir AIP and generative AI to enhance analytics solutions and automate workflows where appropriate.
- Use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining strong engineering standards.
- Evaluate new platform capabilities, develop prototypes, and contribute to globally distributed Agile delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience with large-scale software systems and platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, or Azure Databricks.
- Experience building reusable, scalable ETL or ELT pipelines with Python or PySpark.
- Strong SQL, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing skills.
- Experience with Git, Agile delivery, and collaboration in a global multicultural environment.
Additional Nice to Haves
- Palantir Foundry pipeline experience and familiarity with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake.
- Experience with Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Palantir AIP, AI or LLM frameworks, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Insurance, Financial Services, or Finance functions.
Work Model
- Swiss Re uses a hybrid work model with an expectation of being in the office at least three days per week.

Life and Health Data and Analytics Engineering partners with Swiss Re’s Life and Health Reinsurance division.
The globally distributed team builds data infrastructure and analytical products that support decisions across the reinsurance value chain.
