Data Engineer (Bengaluru, IN)

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be accountable for:

Financial:

Support the achievement of agreed financial targets

Operate in a manner that is cost effective and efficient with all resources

Customer:

Contribute to design and implementation of technical solutions

Develop, test and implement to meet technical / business requirements

Provide full transparency of status throughout delivery

Process:

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement – simplify and improve processes where possible

Ensure that quality control and data governance processes are followed

Provide accurate estimates of the end-to-end resource required for developing or maintaining code

People:

Participate as a team member positively around team culture and growth

Provide guidance and support to peers through code reviews, and technical leadership

Risk/Compliance/Behaviours

Alignment and adherence with ANZ Group IT strategy, governance policies, processes and standards and with external regulatory requirements

Minimum 4 years of SAS SQL coding (development and analysis skills). Exposure to Python is highly beneficial.

Good attention to detail, ability to execute analysis accurately

Problem-solving and analytical mind-set, with a strong attention to detail

Broad knowledge of Financial Service products and processes

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to collaborate with people at different levels

Able to produce high quality, high output work.

Work with project stakeholders and developers, applying an understanding of organisational context to analyse and synthesise information, and to translate business requirements into technical requirements

Solid understanding of data development lifecycles, disciplines and procedures.

Can appreciate difficult problems and work autonomously on tasks with a medium complexity, can work collaboratively as part of a team and clearly articulate & present consolidated findings.
