Role overview
INTRALOT is seeking a Data Cloud Platform Engineer (DBA) to support scalable and reliable database systems in its gaming technology environment.
The role focuses on day-to-day operations, stability, security, performance, recoverability, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement of AWS database platforms.
Database operations
- Support production databases running on Amazon RDS, Aurora, and self-managed databases on EC2.
- Maintain availability, integrity, and performance across multiple environments.
- Respond to database incidents, alerts, and service degradations.
- Monitor health, performance, capacity, and replication with CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and native tools.
- Diagnose slow queries, locking, resource contention, and replication lag.
- Perform capacity planning and proactive tuning.
Security and recovery
- Enforce access controls, encryption at rest and in transit, and credential management.
- Manage and validate automated backups, snapshots, point-in-time recovery, and disaster recovery testing.
- Support compliance, audit, and data protection requirements.
