Data Center Production Operations Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Resolve platform health tickets, troubleshoot services remotely, and inspect physical data hall systems.
• Perform deep dives and root-cause analysis for tooling, hardware, and network issues.
• Collaborate on process, hardware, automation, and technical projects.
• Coordinate new platform and hardware introductions at the site.
• Use tools, analytics, and stakeholder communication to identify, manage, and escalate issues.
• Drive corrective actions, serviceability improvements, and global resolution of systemic issues.
• Improve repair processes, tools, systems, uptime, and utilization.
• Train team members and maintain procedures, runbooks, and guides.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and travel up to 15%.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or commensurate experience.
• At least 5 years of technical IT experience in infrastructure environments.
• Intermediate Linux or equivalent operating system troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with server hardware, components, and storage.
• Knowledge of data center electrical, cooling, cabling, security, and network interdependencies.
• Experience driving technical issues to root cause and participating in technology or automation projects.
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, RAID, DHCP, and out-of-band server communication methods.
• Experience with at least one of Bash, PHP, Python, SQL, Rust, Go, or Perl.
• Experience using data and metrics for decisions and guiding external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fostering growth in others and influencing across organizational levels.
• Experience in a large-scale data center environment.
• Experience with large-scale artificial intelligence implementations.
• Six Sigma knowledge or certification is preferred.

Compensation

• Base salary is $83,990 to $130,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
