Role Overview

The Data Center Operations Cluster Manager is a senior leadership role for compute operations teams within an AWS region.
The role carries managerial responsibility for safety, security, availability, scaling, costs, and efficiency.
The manager leads teams installing, maintaining, and decommissioning network and server equipment across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Data Center Managers and Engineers across multiple data centers.
- Oversee safety, security, availability, quality, performance, and customer experience.
- Manage performance reviews, staffing needs, talent development, and succession planning.
- Mentor, train, and develop career progression for direct reports and organization members.
- Coordinate change management resources with electrical and mechanical operations teams.
- Develop and share operational best practices across the region and globally.
- Manage complex projects against tight timelines and drive strategic operational initiatives.
