About the Role
Alibaba Cloud seeks a Data Center Facility Manager to oversee regional colocation data center operations in Dubai. The role involves managing vendors, developing SOPs/EOPs, providing technical leadership during normal and emergency situations, and supporting new DC projects.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to define data center operations and develop Change Management procedures, SOP and EOP for regional colocation DC facilities.
- Manage team and consultants to implement data center operations in normal and emergency situations.
- Manage colocation DCs to ensure vendors adhere to SLAs per contractual terms.
- Provide construction administrative support to project manager during construction and coordinate with internal stakeholders for new DC projects.
- Provide and analyze energy efficient solutions to minimize power losses.
- Review and develop detailed scripts for change management request (CMR) activities.
- Travel to data center sites for engineering studies, electrical systems audits, startup testing, and full commissioning.
- Provide electrical mission critical system review services to global datacenter engineering teams.
- Participate in equipment failure or power outage related incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Provide instructions to vendors and installation contractors and validate quality of vendor works on site.
- Respond on an as needed basis to emergencies in regional Alibaba DCs, including traveling to site to provide on site support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in global large data center facility operation (10+MW) as team leader
- Deep knowledge of Data Center mechanical, electrical, fire system and controls systems
- Functional knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures
- Highly driven, self managed individual with problem analysis and critical thinking
- Knowledge of data center construction procedure
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25% to 50%+ at times)
- Familiar with Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus

Job Requirements

- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus as the role will need to coordinate with HQ in China.
