The Role
Headout is seeking a Data Analyst to join its data team.
The analyst will work with senior analysts and leadership to build reports, dashboards, and automations that support decisions across the company.
The role may cover growth and marketing analytics, product analytics, operations, supply-side problems, or a combination of these areas.
The analyst will be embedded in the business, understand marketplace dynamics, and own meaningful workstreams after ramp-up.
Role Focus
- Build reports, dashboards, and automations that support company decision-making.
- Analyze conversion funnels, attribution models, supplier economics, and product experiments.
- Work across growth, product, operations, supply-side, and finance-related problems.
- Understand why metrics move and which business levers drive outcomes.
- Ship practical analytical work quickly and contribute to decisions that affect the business.
- Pair with senior analysts on complex projects and receive direct feedback from leadership.
- Document analytical learnings and maintain high-quality work.
Business Context
Headout operates a global marketplace across dozens of cities, thousands of experiences, multiple currencies, real-time inventory, and dynamic pricing.
The role provides exposure to how growth, product, operations, and finance interconnect.
Skills and Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in an analytics, business intelligence, or data science role.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, common table expressions, and query debugging.
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, automation, or simple analysis.
- Hands-on experience with at least one BI tool such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Exposure to dbt, Airflow, or a similar tool is nice to have.
- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts is nice to have.
- Exposure to marketplace or e-commerce businesses is a bonus.
