Data Analyst

The Part-Time Data Analyst supports business decision-making through data collection, analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. This role works closely with business stakeholders to transform operational and financial data into actionable insights while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.

The successful candidate will leverage Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Microsoft 365 technologies to create reports, automate processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization

NAC is currently seeking a Part-Time Data Analyst to join our IT team at our Head Office location in Morriston, ON.

Develop and maintain operational, financial, and project reporting dashboards.

Analyze business data to support decision-making and performance measurement.

Create recurring and ad hoc reports for departments across the organization.

Monitor data quality and resolve reporting discrepancies.

Assist with KPI definition, tracking, and reporting.

Automate manual reporting processes where possible.

Support system implementations and data migration activities.

Document reporting processes and data definitions.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data modeling.

Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.

Strong understanding of data visualization principles and KPI reporting.

Ability to write SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.

Understanding of relational databases, data relationships, normalization, and dimensional models.

Knowledge of Power Automate for report distribution and workflow automation.

Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, and Microsoft 365 data sources.

Understanding of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices.

Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into meaningful reports and dashboards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities from large datasets.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
