Role Overview
This Data Analyst role requires deep, demonstrable expertise in Tableau.
The role converts complex financial and operational data into critical business insights for a fintech business.
The primary focus is the full Tableau development lifecycle.
Tableau Development
- Design, develop, and maintain executive and operational dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Use LOD expressions, custom calculations, calculated fields, parameters, and action filters to solve business problems.
- Optimize Tableau workbooks and data sources for fast rendering and strong performance.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for Tableau data consumption.
- Build reports and visualizations using Tableau Desktop or similar tools.
Fintech Insight Generation
- Collaborate with Finance and Risk stakeholders to define KPIs such as risk scoring, portfolio health, and revenue forecasting.
- Create story-driven visualizations that communicate complex financial trends and risks simply and effectively.
Deployment and Governance
- Manage data connections and publish data sources on Tableau Server.
- Administer Tableau Server security settings to govern access and ensure data integrity.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of focused experience, including at least 3 years dedicated to Tableau development.
- Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Server/Cloud, and Prep.
- A demonstrated portfolio of complex, production-ready Tableau dashboards.
- Expert-level SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to engage with non-technical business leaders and translate data needs into accurate visual reports.
Preferred and Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with fintech, banking, or financial services data is highly preferred.
- Tableau certification, such as Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Desktop Specialist, is a bonus.
- Experience with Python or R for advanced statistical analysis feeding into Tableau is a bonus.
