About the Role
Allegiance Real Estate is looking for a Data & AI Infrastructure Engineer to own the data and infrastructure layer for an AI-powered real estate platform. You will design ingestion pipelines, architect a PostgreSQL + pgvector data warehouse, and build API integrations.

Responsibilities
- Design and build ingestion pipelines for live market data sources across multiple regions
- Architect PostgreSQL + pgvector data warehouse to scale cleanly from 1 to 50+ markets
- Build the API integration layer connecting to external data providers, internal tools, and third party services
- Transform raw market data into structured chunks ready for RAG retrieval
- Build monitoring and alerting for data pipeline health
- Own infrastructure decisions around scaling (caching, queuing, ETL framework)
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and operating production data pipelines
- Hands on experience with PostgreSQL and ideally pgvector
- Real experience integrating multiple third party APIs reliably
- Comfort with Python for pipeline development
- Understanding of how AI/RAG systems consume data
- Comfort working in a fast moving startup environment

Role Overview
- You will own this layer end to end — designing pipelines, warehouse architecture, and API integrations.
- You'll work directly alongside our AI engineering lead, architecting how data flows from source to model.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Design and build the ingestion pipelines for live market data sources across multiple regions
- Architect our PostgreSQL + pgvector data warehouse to scale cleanly from 1 to 50+ markets
- Build the API integration layer connecting Alpha to external data providers, internal tools, and third party services
- Transform raw market data into structured chunks ready for RAG retrieval
- Build monitoring and alerting for data pipeline health
- Own infrastructure decisions around scaling — when to introduce caching, queuing (Celery/Redis), or a proper ETL framework
- Work as a technical peer to our AI engineer — you own the data and infrastructure layer
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience designing and operating production data pipelines
- Hands on experience with PostgreSQL and ideally pgvector
- Real experience integrating multiple third party APIs reliably
- Comfort with Python for pipeline development; familiarity with task queues or workflow orchestration tools is a strong plus
- Understanding of how AI/RAG systems consume data
- Experience designing for multi region or multi currency systems is a strong plus
- Comfort working in a fast moving startup environment
