Role Overview
The ODA Administrator is responsible for the administration of the DAS ODA under FAA Order 8100-15B and in accordance with DAS ODA Procedures Manual, MA.7.ODA.001
The position holds regulatory responsibility for all DAS ODA STC development projects, STC Amendments, Minor Changes, Validations, and is the DAS ODA primary point of contact with the FAA NY-ACO.
The ODA Administrator coordinates the regulatory activities of the ODA and manages the ODA Unit Members and Unit Member Managers.
Additionally, the Administrator is responsible for preparing and issuing quarterly reports to the ACO, as outlined in the Procedures Manual.

Job Summary

Additionally, the Administrator is responsible for preparing and issuing quarterly reports to the ACO, as outlined in the Procedures Manual.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviews new projects and assists the Engineering Leadership with project estimation.
- Provides project management oversight for ODA projects.
- Coordinates with UM Managers to determine whether projects meet Major/Minor criteria, whether projects require flight testing, etc.
- Assembles necessary technical documentation required by the F.A.A. in the form of GND test plans, electrical load analysis and other related technical reports.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to certification engineers and creates standards to maximize ODA.
- Responsible for insuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, and for fostering a "Right First Time" culture to keep certification costs to a minimum.
- Coordinates/manages internal audits, and ensures all UMs are trained and certified, and that records are maintained per the ODA Procedures Manual.
- Responsible for managing the ODA Procedures Manual and Unit Member Listing revisions.
- Assembles, checks, approves, and submits STC packages, validation requests, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
