CYF Instructor - Dance

At the Y, you will be part of a vibrant and diverse network of people whose shared vision is to change lives and make our communities home to the healthiest children, teens, adults, and families.

The Child, Youth & Family (CYF) Instructor implements and facilitates the delivery of quality recreational programs, services and experiences to children, teens and families enrolled in the YMCA of the National Capital Region youth registered programs and birthday parties. The CYF Dance Instructor delivers a high energy, fun dance class that teaches fundamental movement skills and the basics of a variety of dance styles such as jazz, ballet, and hip hop.

Implementing and facilitating the delivery of quality dance classes to children and teen.

Using a team approach when planning and leading programs.

Supervising program participants and guiding them in physical, social and emotional development.

Being responsible for the general safety of the participants.

Ensuring excellent customer service is provided to all members and participants.

Addressing concerns or issues and escalating them to the CYF Coordinator as necessary.

Ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA are conveyed to members, staff and volunteers with every interaction.

High School Diploma, post-secondary education and/or ECE certification an asset

Fluent in English, oral and written

French language is an asset
