Cybersecurity Operations & Compliance Intern

Current enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Interest in cybersecurity operations, security engineering, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, access management, regulatory compliance, or critical infrastructure protection.

Relevant technical knowledge or coursework involving computer science, cybersecurity, system administration, Windows systems, security tools, or networking.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research issues, organize information, and document findings.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate security, compliance, and operational documentation.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask thoughtful questions and communicate progress or barriers.

Ability to work collaboratively, receive feedback, learn new security tools and processes, and contribute to team goals.

Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to manage assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.

A professional, accountable, and learning-oriented approach to sensitive cybersecurity and compliance work.

Coursework, labs, certifications, academic projects, or hands-on experience involving cybersecurity, Windows systems, system administration, security tools, or networking.

Exposure to threat intelligence, vulnerability management, access management, security operations, or technical documentation.

Interest in developing practical skills that support cyber resilience, operational continuity, and security engineering.

Coursework, projects, or interest involving regulatory compliance, evidence management, audit readiness, governance, or critical infrastructure protection.

Interest in learning how NERC CIP compliance supports the protection of critical electric infrastructure.

Ability to organize detailed records and handle assignments requiring accuracy, confidentiality, and consistent follow-through.

Program Type: Internship.
