Cybersecurity Intern- WORK STUDY

Position Overview The Illinois APEX Accelerator Center at The Turner Center for Entrepreneurship at Bradley University seeks a motivated student with cybersecurity skills to support our clients in achieving CMMC 2.0 Level 1 compliance.

Under the supervision of the Illinois APEX Accelerator Director & Cybersecurity Adviser, you’ll work directly with clients to develop documentation, dashboards, and complete hands-on assessments that guide them toward meeting NIST SP 800-171 requirements to achieve CMMC 2.0 Level 1 certification.

• Collaborate with the Director to draft and refine cybersecurity documentation, including: System Security Plans (SSP) Policies & Procedures templates Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)

• Policies & Procedures templates
• Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)
• Assist in designing and building a client-facing cybersecurity dashboard for tracking progress against CMMC 2.0 Level 1 objectives
• Conduct hands-on client assessments to evaluate current cybersecurity posture
• Map client controls to NIST SP 800-171 requirements and document gaps
• Support development of remediation roadmaps and guidance materials

• Currently enrolled student at Bradley University
• Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
