Cybersecurity Engineer – Network Administration

425, Electrical Systems Software Engineering, Cybersecurity and Network Administration and Support group, is seeking a Systems Network Administrator Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, enforce, and manage both unclassified and classified information systems and collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to resolve system defects.

Specific responsibilities within this role include:

• Design, implementation and maintenance of sensitive unclassified and classified computing systems in accordance with appropriate Naval Reactors and DCSA security controls
• Support of custom software applications for fleet prototypic maintenance and troubleshooting laptops for instrumentation and control equipment
• Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of software and firmware of control systems and networking interfaces

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information technology, or other Cyber Security
• 0-5 years of post graduate engineering experience

• Understanding of DoD National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, Industrial Security Field Operation Process Manual, DoE security requirements and NIST security controls is desired.
• Familiarity with implementing STIG updates and reviewing computer logs is preferred.
• Be able to configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems and install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support to end-user issues regarding desktop problems and/or server administration
